Dear AIESEC Iran friends,

first of all: Happy Norooz! 21st of March was Persian New Year and we enjoyed the occasion to learn more about Iranian culture. Jonas and me spent the night with my cousin and some friends of hers. As the exact time of Norooz changes every year (Iranians don't have a leap year) we had to stay awake until 3:37 o'clock in the morning. In the meantime our host told us about Norooz traditions and their roots. At the end it was really nice to say Happy New Year for the second time within 3 months!
The day before we had an appointment with the German embassador, Herbert Honsowitz. As he already was informed about AIESEC activities we could start right away to talk about the project. Dr.Honsowitz liked the idea of integrating Iran into our network and told us that relations between Iranian institutions and the German Embassy in Tehran are also getting closer. Filiz Durak, head of the cultural section, is going to support us concerning visa and legal issues.
Today we met with a group of 10 students to work on AIESEC selling, exchange and financial issues. By the way: Some of these people came back earlier from their holidays just to learn more about AIESEC. They called us and asked for a meeting! Could we feel any better? I don't think so. Tomorrow we'll meet again and I'm looking forward to this session; every day my motivation to build AIESEC in this country gets a little stronger.
