In the meantime I (Lisa) also arrived in Iran. After getting the visa and overcoming 40 degrees of fever the wonderful Emirates Airline finally got me to Tehran.
Saturday Jonas held a 3 hours information event in an NGO's office. Around 15 invited students got to know about AIESEC's general structure, aims and values.
Yesterday these Iranian students continued their first AIESEC contact with an introduction seminar; they got more detailed knowledge about our organization and started working on their ideas in small groups. It was so nice to see how highly motivated and interested these people are! It gives us energy to go on with the project.
And thanks so much to Fahimeh, Maziar, Javad and Alireza who organized and helped us so much already before our arrival! Without them we wouldn’t have neither a room nor students to work with.
Today most of these students leave Tehran to spend the New Year's holiday with their families. For me it will be the first time to live this event with my Persian family. Let's see what happens; apart from eating until my stomach breaks!
