Next journey to Iran coming up

It has been a long time since we posted on this blog. As our next journey to Iran comes up in March and quite a lot of things have happened during the last semester it is about time to spread some information.

First things first: What is the plan for the next Journey to Iran?

We want to find more Iranian students to support "Building AIESEC in Iran" and educate them on AIESEC Identity and AIESEC's core work. To do so we will have an information evening which will be organized by Fahimeh, Javad, Rasool and Maziar in Tehran, than students will be able to show their interest by writing a letter of motivation. Based on this we will invite 15-20 students to our assessment center and select 10-15 of them. With these students we will have an "Get to know AIESEC" weekend covering organizational identity, structure, overview of core work and personal values and possible role within the organization.
Additionally the students will form functional groups and receive a basic education in this groups. Together with the leadership body we will work on AIESEC's specific role in Iran and a three year strategic and a one year implementation plan.

What has happened so far to make this possible?
We have applied for funds from the german foreign ministry and received a lot of support within AIESEC. Big thanks to the local committee of cologne and the german member committee. We have ourselves worked on a strategic and implementation plan and are currently working on the logistical and content based preparation of the last trip. We had the pleasure to welcome Gert Hilgers as our CFO on board and are sad to announce the resignation of Parissa.

One of us will most likely be able to join the international presidents meeting in Egypt at the end of February to support our application to join the AIESEC network as extension there.

So far for the most important. Stay tuned.
Your BAI team.
