Unofficial Extension status approved
Just this minute the Global Plenary approved of the unofficial extension status of AIESEC in
Iran with 56 votes for and two abstentions. This means we have been mandated with the task explore thoroughly the possibilites to build a sustainable AIESEC in Iran. This includes cooperation talks with companies, universities and organizations and also the work with Iranian students on a feasibility study which we will present on IPM 2008 to get approved for official extension status. From that on we will need to fulfil membership criteria twice to be eligible for full membership. The support which has been expressed by the AIESEC network and AIESEC partners is great. So we are convinced that AIESEC in Iran will be successfully established.

When I joined AIESEC, first thing came in my mind was that "why iranian can not have such perfect organization" inside the country.
I am very happy to see that you guys really work hard. however i applied to be a part of this team but due to the fact that i'm not in germany with direct contact, I have not been accepted. but it doesnt matter. what matters is the final successful expansion activity and don't hesitate to contact me if you need any help.
